More control over names in chats

AI-Public offers more ways to handle names in chat messages carefully. Within PII protection, administrators can set what happens for each category when a first or last name is recognized.

Names can be allowed through unchanged, masked as initials, or cause the entire chat message to be blocked. When names are masked, the AI does not see the full name. For example, Alex Jansen can be converted to A. J. before the message is sent to the AI.

This helps government and nonprofit organizations better align the protection of personal information with their own privacy policies. For example, when preparing public communications, summarizing internal information, or drafting policy and service-related content.

Administrators can choose the approach for each category that best fits the organization’s working methods and guidelines. This allows employees to use AI-Public in a practical way, with clear agreements about personal information.
