v3.8.0
This release bundles the improvements since 3.7.0 for AI-School, AI-Corporate, and AI-Public. The native mobile apps below are for AI-School; availability via TestFlight, the App Store, or Google Play is separate from the web release.
-
Costs and budgets: one overview of measured costs per organization and school, with a six-month trend and costs per model and per type (chat, image, other). Budgets per organization and school, by default € 1.50 per account; without a fixed amount, school and organization budgets follow from the number of accounts. Default budgets per role and exceptions per person are tracked with a change history.
-
Budget notices and cost insight: administrators get an in-app notice at 80% and 100% of the budget, and AI-School has a revised weekly cost email. Costs per person are only visible when an administrator of the board turns on "Show costs per person"; this is off by default and only initials are shown. The models page shows what fits within the budget per person, and usage and costs are calculated more accurately.
-
Desktop app as a work assistant: work in a local workspace with plan mode and goal mode, queued follow-up messages, a command palette (Cmd/Ctrl+K), viewing files and documents in the app, reviewing and undoing changes per turn, approved local commands with approval modes and a sandbox, pinning and archiving projects, and notifications. The AI runs via the platform; local development servers and a built-in browser are also available.
-
Desktop: documents and recordings: sign in via the default browser; read, create, and edit local Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files within an approved folder. Recordings are made locally first and then uploaded for transcription.
-
Lesson groups: lesson groups with named pupils and teachers, synchronized from Edu-V and Somtoday, with AI access and AI policy just like class groups. A lesson group is only visible to its members.
-
Knowledge base and assistants: the knowledge base has four levels plus a personal knowledge base. Assistants with sources respond faster, have clearer settings, can be public or personal, and can be shared across the whole board.
-
Native AI-School for iPhone, iPad, and Android: chat with attachments, dictation in the keyboard language, voice chat, and transcription; recordings remain available locally if processing fails. Teachers have My groups and administrators have Management for staff, pupils, groups, and accounts. The apps start faster, a Plaud recorder stays linked, and recordings are transcribed automatically. Android is available via Google Play.
-
Chat and documents: paste images into the prompt, queue a follow-up question while an answer is still running, and improved annotation of documents and images. Better document exports and text extraction from protected PDFs that open without a password; for attachments without usable text, it is stated why the source was not fully read.
-
Models, audio, and speech: Claude Haiku 5.5 as an affordable Claude model, Mistral Large 4 with reasoning, and voice chat with Gemini Live via the platform. All Mistral traffic runs via the European endpoint. AssemblyAI EU is the default for transcription, with Gemini as fallback; long recordings are processed better.
-
Administration and integrations: in AI-School, move staff, simpler bulk actions, better insight into e-learning progress, and demo invitations with an individual trial period. Improved Edu-V links and a Microsoft integration via your own tenant app, now including write actions.
-
Invoice processing (custom module): manage client administrations with shared settings, inventory mailboxes, and manage suppliers with Chamber of Commerce (KvK) enrichment and CSV import.
-
Website, manual, and usability: pages in all languages, an accessible view, and an FAQ page; replies to support emails go to the submitter. Also a faster web and desktop interface, clearer loading status, customizable names for video attachments, translation fixes, and dependency updates.
